Know who you're dealing with.
We investigate people and companies across borders for compliance teams, law firms, investors and consultancies. You get what the records show, what they don't, and what it means for your decision.
Three depths of investigation.
Every matter is scoped in writing, worked from lawfully accessible sources and reviewed by the analyst who signs it.
-
Initial checks
Onboarding reviews and first-look questions about a counterparty.
Identity anchored on identifiers. Sanctions, PEP and watchlist screening. Company records and directorships. Adverse media in the subject's languages. A concise summary with sources and limits.
Target turnaround1 business day -
In-depth investigation
Higher-risk counterparties, investments and transactions that need a considered answer.
Everything in initial checks. Litigation, insolvency and regulatory history. Ownership and business connections mapped. Public digital footprint where relevant. An assessment that separates findings, open questions and gaps.
Target turnaround3 to 5 business days -
Bespoke investigation
Disputes, asset-related questions and matters beyond a standard scope.
Written scope and research questions. Investigators assigned to the matter. Progress briefings as findings develop. Reporting in the form your counsel needs.
TurnaroundAgreed after scope review
Fees are quoted per matter once scope and jurisdictions are confirmed. Business days are Monday to Friday. Timings run from the moment scope is accepted and the identifiers we need are received. Additional retrieval costs are approved by you before they are incurred.
From a source to a conclusion, in writing.
Every finding in a Veriko file points to the record it came from, and every conclusion says how much weight that record can bear. Two lines from a fictional file, shown in full.
The directorship is confirmed by an official record and can be relied on.
A filing, not a finding of liability. Retrieving the judgment through a local agent would take about three business days; quoted separately.
The questions that come to us most.
Who is this client or partner?
Identity, ownership, connections, and whether anything on the record should change the terms.
Can we approve this supplier?
Ownership, sanctions exposure, litigation and regulatory history in the jurisdictions where they actually operate.
Who is behind this deal?
The founders, the counterparties and the structure, with the gaps stated so you can price the risk.
What can we prove for this dispute?
Corporate interests, assets on the public record and the network around a party, in a form your counsel can use.
Can you do the research for our firm?
Yes. Research and reporting capacity for investigators and consultancies, under NDA and in your format.
Something else?
Write to us with the question. If it is not lawful or not within our reach, we say so before you commit.
UK and UAE first. Honest about the rest.
We welcome instructions from UK- and UAE-based teams. Before accepting a matter we confirm what can be checked, what cannot, any access limitations, additional costs and the proposed delivery date. Other jurisdictions are considered case by case.
Identity before findings
Nothing is attributed until the identity is anchored on identifiers. Unresolved namesakes are listed separately.
Records, allegations, questions
Whatever the source, an allegation is reported as an allegation. Only documented, verified facts are treated as established.
Gaps written down
A file with no findings documents what was searched and what was not reachable. It is not a guarantee that no risk exists.
Lawful basis, every time
Public and lawfully accessible sources only. The legal basis for processing is assessed for each instruction and jurisdiction before we accept it.
Before you write to us.
Where does the information come from?
Who does the work and who signs?
What do you need from me to start?
What if you find nothing?
Discuss your case.
Describe the business question, where it arises and when you need an answer. We reply to clarify scope and next steps.
